SAN under tremendous stress due to Covid health and financial impacts
Covid Impact on san
SAN is under financial stress due to Covid:
Govt. is not paying promised funds to SAN
COVID free/govt. testing, takes 20 days for test results vs $117 for private testing and 48 hour notification of test results
Increase need and ongoing cost for PPE equipment and sanitation
Employees and/or their families have become sick and SAN has related quarantine/medical costs
No visits to SAN's projects by mission groups who assist with physical repairs, educational, social activities, health screenings, funds, etc.,
funds to pay for a new teacheR
Education is a necessity that promotes human development and empowers the students to become productive members of Honduras society. With the virus pandemic, the children of SAN are not allowed to physically attend classes. In order to help our students, we need additional teachers at the SAN projects to assist with tutoring and the educational needs of the children. A teacher who inspires confidence, has values in mind as a professional, and who knows how to transmit what she knows with patience and enthusiasm.
With the arrival of the Covid-19, the Honduras Ministry of Education closed the schools and required classes to be online. With these new measures, additional computers and learning tools are necessary so that children can continue to "attend" school and work on their school assignments.
The children of SAN need additional computers and equipment to facilitate access to online classes.
If you are willing to help, you can make your donations here with just one click, and you will be promoting the education of our children. Muchas Gracias!!
